The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is offered with a technologically advanced 2.7-liter turbocharged engine, along with a range of engines to help customers find the Silverado that perfectly suits their needs.
New for 2021: Multi-Flex tailgate with six functions; Increased trailering capability on the 2.7L Turbo and 3.0L Duramaxturbo-diesel engines, including up to 9,600 pounds max trailering with the 2.7L on a new 2WD Regular Cab/Long Box configuration; Enhanced camera trailering technologies, Jack-Knife Alert, new CargoBed View Enhancement, Rear Trailer View with new guidelines and Trailer-Angle Indicator, and Rear Side View enhancement; All Star Edition Plus, Texas Edition Plus and LTZ Premium Texas Edition; Exterior colors Oxford Brown Metallic, Cherry Red Tintcoat and Mosaic Black Metallic.
Standard on LT and RST trims, the turbo engine delivers 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque, for 22 percent more torque than the 4.3L V-6 it replaces.
The Silverado offers more choices, including six engine/transmission combinations that give customers different combinations of performance, efficiency and value, as well as increased towing and payload capabilities:
-- Crew cab Silverado models increase in payload up to 14 percent, or 340 pounds.
-- The 4.3L V-6 offers a maximum of 8,000 pounds towing, up 400 pounds (regular cab, rear-wheel-drive models).
-- The 5.3L V-8 with Max Towing Package offers a maximum of 11,600 pounds towing, up 400 pounds (double-cab, rear-wheel-drive models).
-- The 6.2L V-8 is exclusively offered with four-wheel drive. Equipped with the Max Towing Package it delivers a maximum of 12,200 pounds towing.
