DataOne Software, a division of Dominion Dealer Solutions, and a leading provider of automotive content and media announced the release of version 6 of the acclaimed XML VIN Decoder web service.

The DataOne Software XML VIN Decoder web service was launched in 2001 and was the industries first comprehensive vehicle data web service. The service is designed as an alternative to using large vehicle databases in-house. Use of a web service can offer advantages in rapid development and ease of integration as well as a significant price advantage for startup and smaller solution providers. DataOne Software continues to support previous versions of the service - but provides a smooth upgrade path for clients that wish to take advantage of the new features which include additional data.
